Just ordered berrysweetshoppe's book! Super excited to read it. I'm hoping the shipping is in the lower end of 5-11 days, but I doubt it. Damn international shipping…
I’m so upset that I forgot to watch the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. I missed John Barrowman, a multitude of kilts, and the Virtual Youth Choir with Eric Whitacre. Oh, also 53 Scotties wore jackets with the country’s name on them for the procession.
Okay, so TS2 has blown my expectations out of the water. The building features it has and the interactions and gameplay are to die for. I miss things like the free placement and 360 rotation, but things like the awning tool and the architecture category totally make it worthwhile. I do miss CASt, as I always will, but the colour combinations and palettes are generally pretty well chosen. I do get angry when there’s an outfit I like but it only has pinstripe pant options, but there’s enough other things that I could use instead. Also, child/adult interactions are the most adorable thing in this entire series; I am so sad that I missed out on swinging around and red hands.
Now I’ll be able to understand why everybody loved TS2 so much. My parents are out so I’m installing it on my dad’s computer as my laptop is still at Future Shop.
Looking at My Final Marks
- English: wow surprisingly well
- Bio: I knew I killed it
- Math: we'll just pretend we didn't see that...
I must say, this CAS demo is definitely proving one thing- it’s 5672% easier to create diverse, attractive sims in TS4.
I felt that maybe I should mention that I’m home from Europe. Had a fantastic time away and can’t wait to return some day. For now, I have an annoying amount of jetlag. I wake up at 5:30 and get super tired at 9. Anyway, just thought I should explain the note spam some people have been getting :) Hoping to solve my laptop woes soon so I can return to me technological hermitage.
Well, I’m leaving today for Europe. Not that I’ve been terribly active lately, but you can expect that to drop to almost no contact over the next two weeks. If I have nothing to do and some wi-fi I might check up on a couple blogs, but I’ve got a fairly jam-packed schedule.
I need some advice from more seasoned European travelers. I’m packing for a trip but I can’t decide whether a messenger bag or a backpack is better. A backpack is further from your body and is, therefore, easier to pickpocket. It also has the disadvantage of making your back sweaty on a hot day. Backpacks look more sporty, are easier to spot, and can become cumbersome in crowded areas and I’m worried about whacking people with an overstuffed bag. However, more volume might be nice to have if I need to carry a coat with me or if I have to carry something I bought. My messenger bag is more stylish, closer to my body and easier to access, but it has less volume than a backpack. The fact that it’s more stylish could also be a draw for a pickpocket. Both can still be slit by a razor or a knife and both could be stolen or opened by someone else. So, what are some of your experiences or personal preferences?
